Nice terra cotta paint color+tile
I like the natural look and feel of this bathroom. possibly for the master suite? It would definitely match a santa fe style bedroom, but not sure if it’ll look wierd in an SF home?!
I can’t figure out what to do with our similar rounded ceilings and picture molding. paint? keep? remove? help pls…..
You can stencil anything! ceiling medallions, trim, kids rooms, kitchens.
Check out this site for cute ideas: http://www.stencilplanet.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=3
Ceiling Medallions in the DR and LR
Plaster ceiling tiles could add a lot of character: check out designs!
I'd like to keep the original Edwardian character: check out moldings!
Non-standard design = + $$$
So I think we will be sticking to basics for the kids bathroom and saving our $$ ideas for the master:)
Mental note: window over sink in kitchen
Main Floor Plan: what do you think?
Might go well with the countertops and cabinets I have in mind…

Wow! I love this sink. 99% recycled copper, hand made, pure character and FREE shipping. Do you think hubby will agree to the $1000 bill????
A quick browse online reveals that the Rancilio Siliva espresso machine gives the most bang for the buck (around $500-$600). We’ll probably want to get a grinder too. We have one that’s fine, but it makes such a mess each time we use it.
I was hoping to find a machine that fits “in wall”, but the Mieles I saw were around $2000-$3000. Mr. budget’s belly is already too big and bulky:(
Our kitchen island will be small and I think we’ll have another counter for eating/socializing, so let’s make them different. Recycled glass for counters along the cabinets/wall as well as for the “social” island. A wood butcher’s block island for the center/work area. This looks like a good alternative; Spekva wood counter tops from FSC certified renewable forests. Now how much?

Can you smell the leg of lamb? I’m sure i’m making hubby drool:)
